The "Suite" Life

This post is a little behind the others, but better late than never, right??? Plus, I was a little jealous that Whitney took over my role as video editor :)

We had a great Christmas with all of Whitney's family, and part of the reason was our fun adventure the day after Santa's deliveries. A friend of a friend of a friend of a friend of a friend said that they could hook us up with some tickets for the Mavs game.

Usually when you get that kind of offer, your expectations aren't set that high. You are just glad that you have the opportunity to enjoy a professional game for free and the chance to buy more concession items than you usually would.

With 8 of us going, we decided not to mess with parking and that it would be fun to ride the train over. We met up with Claire, David, Brad and Carlynn at a restaurant outside of Victory Park for appetizers before the big game.

We were all extremely anxious about where our seats might be and were amazed to see that our seats were....

Well, I'll just let the video do the talking.

Happy Twenty Ten!

Happy New Year!!!! Claire, Jae and I have an annual tradition of having a New Years Party at one of our houses. For the first 4 new years (2003-2006), Claire and I had them at our apartment in Arlington. Then we had one at my Apartment (2007), one at Claire and David's (2008) and this year the party was at Jae and Brad's!

This year we also celebrated Brad's 30th birthday! Happy Birthday, Old Man!

We had a fabulous time playing games and dancing! Enjoy the video!

Ho, Ho, Housewarming!

On December 12th, we finally had our Housewarming Party! We were so excited to share our new home with over 50 of our friends. We spent the week before the party, cooking, cleaning, cooking and cooking some more. On the morning off the shin-dig, we had a bunch of yard work to do and it was freezing...

At 5:00, people started arriving! We had a fabulous time visiting, eating, showing people around the house and making s'more's!! Enjoy a few pics from the beginning of the party...sadly, I didn't do very good taking pictures throughout the party so I missed a bunch of the people who came :(

Christmas Eve, Matching PJ's and Dancing, Oh My!

Nathan and I got to host Christmas at our house this year! My whole family came and stayed with us for about a week. We had a fabulous time! We pretty much stayed at the house, we played games, put together two puzzles, ate good food, watched a bunch of movies, sat around the firepit, and played the wii! We did get to go on an extraordinary outing, but I will tell you more about it next time...

So, here we go! Mom and Dad got here late Monday night and we spent all day Tuesday and Wednesday shopping and wrapping. We finished the last duties around the house about 10 minutes before everyone arrived.

My Mom brought our stockings from her house so everyone would have a stocking for Santa. I love our stockings! As you can see they are not normal, they are all people that have a pouch somewhere on them. Nathan and I are the teddy bears!

We braved the weather and we all attended the Christmas Eve Service at our church, Broadway Baptist.

Then we came home and ate a yummy roast using all of our china and silverware.

AND then it was time for my favorite part...matching P.J.'s!!!!!

I can't even begin to explain what was happening here!

On Christmas morning, Santa brought us a new Wii Game called Just Dance! It was AMAZING!!! But you can see for yourself...

Bad blogger :(

Well, I am not very good at blogging...but I am very good at reading other blogs!! I go to my site everyday, just so I can search around and read about all of my friends (or even people I don't know!) So for a quick recap about our last year...

It's all about the 254!

A couple of weeks ago, Nathan and I took our engagement photos! In case you didn't know, I love pictures!!! So...when the day got closer, I got really nervous. I made Nathan go to the mall with me about 6 times in one weekend! Poor guy...

We took our photos in downtown Grapevine, Texas. I was so excited to have Bludoor Studios, Mike and ReJana Krause take our pictures. They were the photographers at Claire and David's wedding. I love their work, and I am so excited to have them as our photographers! They also have a talent at calming me down, because believe it or not I get a little shy when it comes to things like this.

Midway through, Nathan and I did a costume change (in the middle of the street) and put on T-shirts for our Rock Band photo shoot! We ordered shirts from Congress Clothing in Waco, TX. The shirts said, "It's all about the 254." 254 is the area code for Waco. Nathan and I both went to Baylor and our wedding is going to be in Waco, so we thought these shirts were perfect!
Here are some more of our favorites!

Hopefully it is my LUCKY week!

So on Thursday last week, Kalee and I bought a few scratch of cards just for fun...long, long story short, we WON $200. We were so excited! Kalee started crying after we won the first 50 bucks, before I knew it my arm was black and blue from her slapping me in excitement!

On Saturday, we all got together at the Benedict's for the OU/texas game...(that was actually not a lucky part of my week). Brad Coon made us a grid for the game. We all signed ten squares and the person with the winning numbers at the end of each quarter won $22.50. I entered the contest with some of the money I had won on Thursday! Even though I didn't like the outcome of the game, I had the numbers 5/5. So I won a dirty $22.50. On a side note, I would have traded my winnings for an Oklahoma win, but I will give my congrats to Texas (I guess).

Tonight, Nathan was working on the computer, I was playing double solitaire. For those of you who don't know, it is a really hard game to win. I have been playing for years, and until tonight I can count the number of times I have won on one hand. Well...I sat down tonight shuffled the cards...and I won. Then I shuffled again, and weirdly I won again. I WON four times. I looked at Nathan and I said, "We have got to go buy a lottery ticket!" So we did! We went to the local gas station, asked the lady for help because we were clueless about how to do it and we purchased our first lottery ticket.

Tomorrow night at 10:00, we will find out if this is truely a LUCKY week!

Stay tuned...
